Role Overview:

The Lead Development Representative will be the first point of contact for the beginning of the sales process. The focus for the LDR is to be responsive, understand the customer’s needs and develop an initial interest in the solutions Nova Leah offers to the company.  The LDR will participate in the sales process at the initial development of the opportunity, triage the incoming leads, and route the qualified lead to the correct Account Executive for further qualification. The responsibility of the LDR is to manage the inbound sales channels, qualify the customer needs and convert the leads into sales opportunities.

  • Resilience, it will take numerous calls to get an interest and numerous interested parties to create an opportunity for services
  • Adaptability, sales situations change every day from the type of customer, to the geographic location
  • Active listener, a sales pitch is a conversation, not a speech. The script gives a starting point that needs to be adapted to the tone of the conversation and that can only occur if the LDR hears what the customer needs or concerns are, which requires listening and asking the right questions
  • Coachability, strategies are constantly changing, and goals are always shifting in sales. The best LDRs still have areas where they could improve, and it’s important that they are eager to learn
