Current Openings at Nova Leah – Engineering Lead

Introduction:

Nova Leah develops solutions to enable manufacturers meet cybersecurity requirements across the full product lifecycle. Connected medical devices are vulnerable and the cybersecurity landscape is constantly changing. In response to this medical device security experts at Nova Leah developed SelectEvidence®, an expert cybersecurity risk analysis system. This is the first system of its kind, providing medical device manufacturers with an automated solution for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity requirements across medical device product portfolios.

Software is a pivotal component for Nova Leah and we are currently growing the software development capacity within the organisation. Therefore, the role of engineering lead is an important senior role within the research and development division.

Key Responsibilities within this role:

  1. Leading/Managing software development teams
  2. Defining standard operating procedures for the software development team
  3. Mentoring team members in relation to implementing new processes and also overseeing improving existing processes
  4. Defining Key Performance Indicators for all members of the software development team
  5. Assessing the performance of the software development team at key milestones – 6 month/annually
  6. Developing an improvement culture within Nova Leah. Striving to continuously improve delivery timelines and quality by encouraging uptake of improvement and delivery metrics
  7. Growing the software development team. Defining job specifications for new roles and taking responsibility for recruitment of software related roles.
  8. Working closely with the CEO to develop new product ideas, and develop funding channels
  9. Promotion of Nova Leah via presentations and research events
  10. Encouraging the team to improve new code through adopting effective software design patterns and improve previous code through engaging in effective refactoring techniques.
  11. Engage with Customers in relation to supplier audits
  12. Work closely with the Software Architect and Scrum Master in relation to product delivery.
  13. Provide guidance to the software development team in relation to medical device software development processes
  14. Project Management of research projects.
