2019 was an incredible year for us here at Nova Leah, one of numerous highlights.
At the beginning of the year Nova Leah secured just under €4 million as part of the government’s Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund. This funding, along with continued market growth, helped us to expand our team and move to a brand new headquarters.
It was a year of great achievement and recognition that we continued to be humbled by and very grateful for receiving. At the start of the year, E-U Startups named Nova Leah one of ten companies to watch out for in 2019. Similarly Crunchbase identified Nova Leah Founder Anita Finnegan as one of 50 female entrepreneurs to watch out for in 2019 alongside the likes of Cindy Mi, CEO & Co-Founder of VIPKID, Emily Weiss, CEO & Founder of Glossier, Anne Wojcicki, CEO & Co-Founder of 23andMe and Michelle Zatlyn, COO & Co-Founder of CloudFare. Further recognition was garnered through being featured on powerhouse publications such as WIRED Magazine and Sunday Business Post.
Towards the end of the year, Nova Leah collected a number of high profile technology awards including ‘High Potential Exporter of the Year’ at the Export Industry Awards, ‘Spinout Company of the Year’ at the 2019 Knowledge Transfer Impact Awards and the Ibec Award for ‘Emerging Company of the Year’.
One of our proudest moments of the year came as we achieved a double industry standard certification. Nova Leah achieved certification to ISO 9001 in recognition of its commitment to quality management systems and ISO 27001 for information security management. Given our focus on regulation and compliance, these certifications are substantial milestones that we are particularly proud of.
